Authentic to Mexico, chipotle peppers are dried and smoked jalapeño peppers with a deep, smoky, yet sweet heat. Best known in its canned form with adobo sauce. Use the ground version with vegetables to give them a "meaty," grilled taste, great to flavour soups and stews or sprinkle directly on dishes as a finishing punch of heat.
Medium Heat: 5,000 to 10,000 Scoville Heat Units
