Native to the Sichuan region of China, Sichuan peppercorns are an essential ingredient in Chinese cooking. Imparts a citrusy, hot flavour with a numbing, tongue-tingling sensation. Interestingly, the edible portion is the husks of the peppercorn with the bitter, inner seeds removed. It is a key element of Chinese five-spice but is also great on its own as a table condiment.

Typically, Sichuan peppercorns are toasted and crushed just before being incorporated into a dish. 

Glass Jar: 180 ml, contains 3/4 cup. 

Flat Pack: 4" x 6" x 2", contains 1/2 cup.
