Chervil has a sweet scent, with a subtle taste reminiscent of parsley and anise with undertones of caraway and pepper. It is an indispensable herb in the French blend fines herbes, as well as other French dishes, particularly egg and vegetable dishes.
Add just before serving, as chervil is delicate and does not withstand long cooking times.
